While Dad Was Computing Life Insurance Rates
January 26th, 2012My dad was computing life insurance rates when my sister barged into his office without knocking and announced that she is quitting school. He almost fell off his chair when he heard my sister’s announcement. My sister was a top student so nobody knew why she wanted to quit school.
My sister said she wanted to quit school because it has gotten so boring. She said she just wanted to take a break from her studies. My dad, after recovering from his initial shock, managed to ask her how long she plans to take a break from school. He got shocked again when he learned that my sister plans to file a leave of absence from the university for at least two years.
Dad emphasized to all of us the value of finishing school that was why he wanted all of us to graduate. Fortunately, my sister’s rebellious stage did not last for a month. Soon enough, she was back in school and dad was happy again.
